Parish festa

It's been a long time ago that I was in Gozo and felt "ta'll Festa" as the Gozitans used to say! So I was very glad with these pictures my aunt took while on holiday in Gozo. They show the beautiful lit-up church and the way the people of Gozo join together in the parish festivities.
The patron saint of the parish is always carried around during the village feast and the streets look very enchanting.

Troglodytes

WOW wonderful pictures my aunt sent me! Gozo has so many interesting sights to offer. It's beautiful over there. You might think you see a pair of troglodytes in this picture but they are just curious visitors! Me I love the shape of this cave dwelling! Fabulous!

Blue statue

My aunt took great pictures while on holiday in Gozo. Especially like this one of one of the stations of the "Way of the cross" up the hill from Ta Pinu. This is station XIII "Jesus is laid in the tomb". That blue statue is my favourite, must have been tired from climbing up all the way! LOL

Shadows on the building

Just the other day I went around taking pictures of our new office. From the outside it looks like a bunker but on the inside it is really spacy with lots of light (when the sun shines). With two large rooms in this building we can now seperate our office from our meetingroom. As you can see, on the day I took this picture, the trees casted great shadows on the walls of the building.

Walking upside down

It's been a while since I last joined shadow shot Sunday. Have been quiet busy with work and other things these past weeks. This is an in between weekend with loads of free time. Even though I didn't post here, shadows were captured by me. The shadows below I noted on my way to work the other day. If you look well you can see 2 people walking "upside down" on the bridge! That's what shadows can do.......... turn the world upside down! LOL!

Thanks for visiting and enjoy your Sunday!

En route

Nowadays my way to and from work is a cycling trip of about 25 minutes..... I really enjoy the way I have to go, especially when the weather is nice and sunny. My trip leads me past this little river and on the other side there is this old factory building that has been renovated really great!

Marrow flower

Never knew a marrow plant had a male and female flower. Above I captured a shot of a female flower bearing a marrow. Male flowers look slightly smaller and grow on long stalks bearing no marrows.

Classic ride

Nearly six hundred riders joined in a classic ride today in this part of Holland. The day was sunny and bright.... perfect weather for this ca. 100 km ride. On the above picture you can see them approaching and below they already passed. Waiting to see them took longer then seeing them pass.......

New theater

This weekend the new theater was open for public. The weather was fabulous, so it made a nice bike ride into town to go and take a look. The theater has a small and a big hall for performances. Below is the big hall. As you can see the colour red is the main colour inside.
