Shadows in the water

Note the cloud shadows in the water on the following pictures. On the first picture you can see the Zeeland Bridge in the background. It is the longest bridge in The Netherlands and it connects the islands of Schouwen Duiveland and Noord-Beveland in the province of Zeeland.

I remember having to pay toll to pass over this bridge. Just now googling a little I found out that the province of Zeeland paid for the construction of the bridge and the costs were recovered by levying tolls for the first 30 years. The last time we were in Zeeland and crossed this bridge was in 1994 so that must have been one of the last years of levying tolls seeing that building the bridge was completed in 1965.

I love it when water looks like glass. It used to be a lot of fun water skiing over water when it was that way. So smooth.

Just love that first pic - it's endless!

With those cloud relections it's tricky to see where the sky ends and the water begins. Almost looks like the bridge is running through the sky! Very clever and cool shots :)

Just think back to a time when people were cut off from each other by the sea and great ships were the only connections...I'm a dreamer...how 'bout you...

Have a great day!

Here is the USA there is no such thing as "temporary tolls." Once they get you paying, they just keep on collecting!! There's a toll bridge in Virginia across Chesapeak Bay that costs $12 to cross, and theres a steady stream of traffic on it all day long. Someone is getting rich!
